An Australian burns survivor, who was doused in methylated spirit and set alight by a jealous woman, has vividly recalled the horror of the attack in a new book.
Dana Vulin, 31, from Perth, has undergone more than 200 surgical procedures since she was set on fire in February 2012 by Natalie Dimitrovska - who was jealous Dana had spoken to her estranged husband during a party.
Dana was at home the night Dimitrovska visited her, accompanied by a friend, Daniel Stone.
Dimitrovska demanded to know where her husband was - wrongly thinking Dana and he were romantically linked. 'The flames were everywhere: my shoulders, my naked stomach — only my boobs were protected by my tiny boob tube.
'The flames spread to my head, my hair went up in seconds, and when I reached up to wipe the burning chemicals off my face, my hands were already on fire.'
Dana said her instinct was to drop and roll - but by doing so spread the fire further around her body. 'The pain was excruciating, but through my screaming I could hear Natalie and Daniel making their escape through the sliding door,' Dana wrote in her book.
'They were laughing at me while I burnt alive.
'When I stood up the flames were getting worse, and I could barely think through the pain.
'Panicked, I turned to the sink, trying to put the flames out by pouring a bucket of water over myself. Dana said she kept screaming for help - desperate for anyone to hear - while across the room her beloved dog, Killer, was whining in terror.
'I knew that I needed to get help. I was as good as dead without it.
'As I fumbled with the front door I could feel the skin falling from my fingers,' she wrote.
'I managed to get the door open and crossed the hallway to the unit next to mine, kicking at the door while yelling for help.
'Long moments passed. There was no answer. 'Even after the fire was finally extinguished the chemicals continued burning me and it was so intense.
'I screamed so loud and for so long that when someone finally came, he wasn’t even my neighbour.
'The guy who turned up was working out in the gym of an apartment building next to mine, and he’d heard my screams and come running.
A 38-year-old schizophrenic man launched an unprovoked knife attack on a train passenger after yelling 'I want to kill all the Muslims', a court heard today.
Adrian Brown was said to be suffering a 'severe psychotic episode' when he stabbed Muhammed Ali on a London Overground carriage in the south of the capital.
The intervention of other passengers on the train - which was travelling between Honor Oak Park and Forest Hill - might have saved the victim's life, the trial heard. Brown accepted that he carried out the attack, but pleaded not guilty to a charge of attempted murder on the grounds of insanity at Southwark Crown Court.
Prosecutor Alan Kent QC told the court: 'The defendant was living in a hostel on the morning of December 12 (2016), he left that hostel armed with a knife - he was determined to find and kill Muslim men.
'He went to the train station at Honor Oak Park which isn't very far away from the hostel where he was living. He had with a knife which he took from the hostel.
'He walked up and down the train threatening passengers, threatening death to Muslims while looking for any Muslim men to stab and kill.
'He saw the victim, Mr Muhammed Ali, who was sitting on the train with his wife. The defendant approached Mr Ali who was sitting down and repeatedly stabbed him to his head and his body. 'Other passengers on this train came to Mr Ali's rescue and it would seem it was their bravery coupled with medical attention from a doctor and a nurse who happened to be on a train, that they may well have saved his life through their quick medical intervention.'
Mr Ali suffered injuries to his head and torso, as well as a punctured lung. Jurors at the trial of issues will consider whether Brown was insane at the time of the attack.
He is also accused of carrying a knife and assault by beating of Filipe Dias, who worked at the hostel, during an earlier incident, both of which are denied on the grounds of insanity.  The court heard Brown had become agitated over the absence of hot water and set upon Ms Dias, who had previously confiscated knives from him.
Mr Kent said: 'He was unhappy about a problem there with the hot water system.
'But there was something much more serious going on in his head at that time because what he suddenly came out with is "I'm going to destroy Isis, Isis are the problem".'
Ms Dias then came across his path and was grabbed by the throat and shouted at. 'As he left the defendant was heard to say: 'I'm going to kill some Muslims'.'
When at the station he was allegedly heard saying 'where are all the Muslims? I am going to kill all the Muslims' before holding a knife to the throat of another woman, who was unhurt.
He is then said to have spotted the victim, whose wife was wearing a hijab and a burka.
'He called him a "f***ing Muslim" before attacking him with a knife, stabbing him repeatedly and repeatedly shouting "f***ing Muslims" as he did so,' Mr Kent said.
'He stabbed Mr Ali numerous times, the crown say, clearly in an attempt to kill him.'
Brown, of Brockley Rise in South East London, appeared via video link from Broadmoor Hospital during the hearing, wearing a brown tracksuit.
A woman has died and 20 people have been injured after an earthquake rocked a volcanic island just off the coast of Italy
The earthquake, which measured 3.6 on the Richter scale, hit the tourist spot of Ischia, near Naples, on Monday evening.
It caused several buildings to collapse before residents and tourists ran out on to the busy streets. Footage and pictures showed around six buildings - as well as a church - in the town of Casamicciola had collapsed.
Italian publication ANSA reported a woman had died following the building and several people remain missing, while others are injured.
There were reports of a number of people injured in the quake, which took place at the height of the summer tourist season. The island's hospital was evacuated. Police and firefighters rushed to the scene after buildings in the town started to fall to the ground.
ANSA reported: 'There were moments of fear because the earth trembled all over the island.
'In the houses there were fallen objects, furniture and in shops the goods fell off the shelves. Everyone in the street flocked to shops and restaurants.
A mother-of-four who collapsed in court moments after a hearing a family court ruling received no treatment for four minutes when a paramedic arrived before she died, it was revealed today.
Hayley Gascoigne suffered a cardiac arrest as she sat in the concourse next to her parents Terry and Kathleen at Hull Crown Court on January 26.
Today a damning Yorkshire Ambulance Service report revealed the 32-year-old was not treated straight away when the rapid response vehicle (RRV) came and the paramedic should have used a defibrillator because she had a 'shockable' heart rhythm.
The error was compounded by two more paramedics in an ambulance who did not challenge this decision.
Hayley died in her sister's arms because of the 'stress' of a ruling in a family legal battle involving children, her devastated father told MailOnline the following day.
Her parents, who care for her four children, said today: 'Hayley was let down badly by the people whose job it was to help her, and we feel very frustrated and sad about this.
'We are deeply upset by our daughter's untimely death and miss her very much every day. Hayley was a fantastic mother who adored her children.'
The ambulance report said there was a 'degree of mismanagement' in her case. After a post-incident debrief, which identified 'mistakes had been made', the RRV paramedic and ambulance paramedic who arrived later were suspended from frontline duties, although the latter was reinstated in a day. Records showed a 'noticeable decline' in regular, structured training for the RRV paramedic after 2011.
Police initially launched an investigation amid concerns from a relative that she may have 'taken something' in the toilet shortly before she became ill. But a post-mortem examination has revealed found she died of hypertensive heart disease - often caused by high blood pressure - and toxicology tests all came back negative - meaning there was no trace of any drugs or alcohol found in her system.
The young mother, from Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire, fell ill while sitting with relatives on the first-floor concourse of the court just before 3pm on January 26.
Her mother Kathleen was heard screaming: 'Hayley. Oh My God. Call an ambulance. Please save her please.'
Miss Gascoigne began convulsing and was rushed to hospital but could not be saved - her parents had to break the devastating news to the children.
Paramedics arrived and she was taken to Hull Royal Infirmary, but was later pronounced dead.
Speaking at his home in Scunthorpe her father Terry Gascoigne said: 'My daughter died in my other daughter's arms. She died because of the stress'.
Some of Miss Gascoigne's friends posted Facebook tributes to the mother of four.
One said: 'She was a lovely, warm kind person and this is just so tragic. Love n strength to all her family n friends.'

The summer is about to return for a brief spell in Britain with temperatures of up to 82F (28C) this - making the country hotter than Mexico.
The 1,000 mile-wide Hurricane Gert is bringing Caribbean air to the south of England and Wales, but Scotland and the north east could face floods, with heavy rain forecast.
The Met Office said Gert, the second Atlantic hurricane of the season, hit the north today as part of another Atlantic low pressure system. Government weathermen said the ex-tropical storm was bringing up to an inch of rain to Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland into tomorrow, with up to half an inch in northern England on Tuesday.
Around 1.5ins of rain in Scotland - half a month's worth - and 2.3ins in Ireland was forecast by The Weather Company.
The Environment Agency warned of flooded homes and roads in northern England and north Wales. The Met Office said tropical air in Gert - which passed just east of the Caribbean - would help highs leap from 73F (23C) tomorrow to up to 82F (28C) on Tuesday in the south.
Britain will even be hotter than 77F (25C)  Mexico City. Even the north is due 75F (24C). Wednesday is due to be 77F (25C) in the south.
It comes after Britain has been anchored below 79F (26C) for a whole month – covering what is usually the hottest month of the year.
Between July 20 and August 19 the UK saw a maximum temperature of only 79F (26.2C), on July 25 at Credenhill, Herefordshire, Met Office records showed. August has peaked at just 77F (25.4C), on August 17 at Cavendish, Suffolk.
South-east and central southern England had their coldest August 1-13 for 30 years, since 1987, the Met Office said. But the Met Office forecast a cool-down from Thursday. Government forecasters said the Bank Holiday weekend would 'not be a complete write-off' - but forecast spells of rain, average 16-21C temperatures and gales in the North.
Previous hurricane-based storms which crossed the Atlantic to cause floods in Britain include Hurricane Bertha, which helped make August 2014 the coldest August for 20 years, September's 2012's 'Child of Hurricane Nadine' tempest, and September 2011's Hurricane Katia buffeting.
Met Office forecaster Chris Page said: 'Tropical air is arriving with the remnants of ex-Hurricane Gert, which is part of an Atlantic low pressure area.
'There will be increasing sunshine for the South with 27-28C most likely and 29C a lower chance.
'But heavier pulses of rain were also expected in the West and North. Drivers should take care with extra spray on roads.

It is well known that there exists a conspiracy to dominate this world and this is commonly attributed to a group called the Illuminati. While it is rare to get an insider perspective on how these secretive groups actually operate and perceive mankind, it can be done if you find the right sources. This article will explore 4 insider sources that I believe to be legitimate and extremely informative. The following videos and interviews may shock you but they are truly worth your time. They expose the ruthless mindset and actions taken to keep humanity suppressed in virtually every aspect of everyday living. They also highlight some of the inner details of how the Illuminati is structured, the scope of its activities, and what it is like living within these orders. Each of these sources is unique and reveals important pieces that can be used to better understand the bigger picture. Further research into these matters will confirm that a worldwide network of powerful forces does indeed exert almost total control over all areas of importance on this planet. This is something that we are beginning to understand with greater clarity now given our access to the internet and thanks to the work of so many dedicated investigative journalists, authors, filmmakers, activists and those who have spoken out about their experiences with these groups. There are powerful forces operating in and beyond the world, and it seems that those who are ‘in the know’ have always recognized this. First, I would like to share with you a very interesting document known as The Secret Covenant, which reveals just how extensive and calculated the means for maintaining power really are. Even if this document is not 100% genuine, it helps to put things in perspective as to how far things have gotten out of hand. Written from the perspective of someone with a keen understanding of the elite mindset, this document and video will leave a lasting impression on you regardless of where you stand on these issues. Understanding the control agenda for what it is and where it comes from will help us to finally dismantle it, as we can begin to identify its weaknesses, its perpetrators, and then take concerted action as a whole. Seeing clearly is the first step to our liberation. The reasons that the “dark” have been so effective in maintaining power for so long are actually quite simple. They have kept their knowledge of the higher realms and the divine totally secret from the masses, while keeping the public focus on materialism and anything that breeds separation and conflict. They are very dedicated in their efforts and united sufficiently in their outlooks to be truly effective in ruling over the many. Let’s face it, most people don’t want to really think for themselves and are happy to have someone else do it for them. The elite are more than happy to fill this responsibility and they have been engineering consent for centuries now with their advanced understandings of the human mind and our deeper inclinations. Meanwhile, the true elite bloodlines teach their offspring real education about the workings of reality from a young age, where they are given the chance to eventually specialize in an area of importance. Regardless of how much influence and power these beings have over us, we are NOT powerless. The bottom line is that we are *equal* with the elite and those who rule over us. We are ALL divine in nature and this physical reality is not the only reality we exist in. They do not want us to know this, lest we begin to remember our divine origins and take action against them. We are Spirit incarnate and it is up to us to remember this and to take action to liberate ourselves from the bondage of tyranny. Transcending our ignorance is required and we must be dedicated in our efforts to become more aware of the world and reality we live in. Expanding our understandings of this world and how it operates can be very helpful in reducing and eliminating draining negative behaviors and forces in our lives. Claiming responsibility for our own lives is essential — this is not about blaming others for our problems but rather seeing how we have been contributing to our own demise and that of the world. Sure we have been cleverly duped and misled, but we always have the power to turn that around. The decision is always up to us — we cannot give away our power without our consent.

The Illuminati’s Plan for World War III

A witness with a military background and a position of influence within the City of London has come forward and offered Bill Ryan of Project Camelot a view into Illuminati plans for World War III.
Apparently the Illuminati plan to use nuclear and biological weapons to cement their control of the world and reduce the world’s population to a “manageable” size.
The Earth’s spiritual hierarchy and the Galactic Federation have assured us that no nuclear war or any scenario close to it will be allowed to happen.
However, we have seen, from the earthquake in Haiti and the tsunami in South Asia, (2) how much destruction the Illuminati are capable of wreaking on the planet and how, left to their own devices, they woould not hesitate to desolate it to ensure control. It is necessary for us to be aware of the Illuminati’s plans and not to co-operate with them, though, as the witness states, not to engage in violent resistance either.
I began my career as a historian with a paper on concepts of Anglo-Saxondom in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The witness postulates that it is a vision of an “Anglo-Saxon” mission that motivates the present cabal.
However, in my view, racial theories are purely self-serving. An “Anglo-Saxon” mission allows for British/American co-operation. But, if it worked better to craft a “Teutonic” or an “Aryan” vision, the cabal, I believe, would do so.
Towards the end, the witness shares his knowledge of the intervention of benevolent ETs. There are many papers on this site and on its companion (3) that discuss the 2012 scenario which the SHGF are propelling us towards, with the help of their Earth allies.
There is no reason to become afraid based on what you read here. But there is good reason to become informed.

“B” refers to Bill Ryan of Project Camelot and “W” refers to the anonymous City of London witness.
The biggest ever donation made by Donald Trump's charitable foundation was a $264,631 gift paid for the refurbishment of a New York fountain outside one of the billionaire businessman's own hotels, it has been reported.
The claims come amid allegations he hasn't donated any money to the charity since 2008.
The fee, which is thought to be the largest ever paid by the Donald J. Trump Foundation in its 29-year history, was used to renovate the monument outside the Plaza Hotel on the edge of Central Park, New York. The donation was made in 1989 to restore the Pulitzer Fountain, which stands outside the front doors of one of Mr Trump's flagship hotels - meaning such a 'charitable donation' would likely have benefited his own business, it has been suggested. Analysis also appears to reveal the Trump Foundation has received twice as much in funding from other donors as it has from Mr Trump. Tax records seen by the Post reportedly show the Foundation has benefitted from $5.5 million of donations made by the Republican candidate since it was founded in 1987, compared with $9.3 million from other donors, including world wrestling executive Vince McMahon. Mr Trump has not donated to his foundation since 2008, the records appear to show. The billionaire businessman has repeatedly boasted about his charitable giving. In one of his books, The America We Deserve, he wrote of his family: "We've benefited from the American Dream and we feel the duty to give back to the community…Those who don't are nothing more than parasites."
Reports also suggest the organisation's smallest ever gift was a $7 donation paid to the Boy Scouts in 1989 - the same amount it cost at the time to register a new Scout. Mr Trump's eldest son, Donald Junior, was 11 at the time. It is unknown whether the 'donation' was paid to register his child.
The Washington Post said it "has not been able to verify many of Trump's boasts about his philanthropy". It called his charitable giving. The paper claims that, after contacting 420 charities with a connection to Mr Trump, it discovered just one personal gift from the billionaire in the eight years prior to this spring, when Mr Trump secured the Republican presidential nomination. That was a donation of less than $10,000 paid to the Police Athletic League of New York City. In response to the findings, Brian Galle, a professor of tax law at Georgetown University, said: "It shows you what this [foundation] is all about. Which is basically just about advancing Trump's interests".
A spokesperson for Mr Trump said the businessman "has personally donated.tens of millions of dollars...to charitable causes".The Independent has contacted the Trump Foundation for further comment.
The Foundation is currently under investigation by the New York Attorney General, Eric Schneiderman, over alleged legal breaches and possible "self-dealing" - the illegal act of charity leaders using donations to further their own interests.
Sources also described to the Post how Mr Trump allegedly gate-crashed a charity event at a school for children with HIV, despite never having donated a penny to the charity.
Organisers said he had turned up unannounced and sat in the seat of another businessman, Steven Fisher, who had been a prominent donor to the charity. Mr Trump then reportedly joined in the ceremony while Mr Fisher was forced to sit in the audience.
Entertainer Michael Barrymore is in line to receive a bumper pay out from Essex Police after the High Court in London backed his claim that the force destroyed his career.
The TV comic, 65, sued Essex Police for £2.4million over his 2007 arrest on suspicion of the rape and murder of 31-year-old Stuart Lubbock, who was discovered face down in a swimming pool after a drugs-fuelled party hosted by Barrymore at his home in the village of Roydon, Essex, six years before.
Mr Barrymore, who fronted hugely popular TV shows such as Strike It Lucky and My Kind Of People in the Eighties and Nineties, claimed his arrest over the death destroyed his glittering career.
Essex Police had admitted the arrest was unlawful, as the arresting officer did not have reasonable grounds to suspect that Mr Barrymore was guilty.
But it said the TV presenter could have been lawfully arrested by another officer and that, as a result, he was only entitled to nominal damages of £1.
However Mr Justice Stuart-Smith, sitting in London today, ruled against the force.
The judge ruled there was 'information available to the police that could have provided an arresting officer with reasonable grounds for a lawful arrest'.
But he added that 'there was only one designated arresting officer who had sufficient information and had been sufficiently briefed to enable her to arrest Mr Parker [Mr Barrymore] lawfully'. Mr Justice Stuart-Smith said that arrest would also have been unlawful 'because none of the police officers at the scene had sufficient information or had been sufficiently briefed to enable them to arrest Mr Parker lawfully'.
He added: 'Mr Parker is entitled to recover more than nominal damages.'
Mr Barrymore, 65, who was not present for the decision, values his claim at more than £2.4 million.
The judge did not decide on the sum to be awarded, as his ruling dealt only with the preliminary issue of the level of damages to be awarded to Mr Barrymore, who brought the action in his real name, Michael Ciaran Parker. Mr Lubbock's body was found in the pool after a party where drugs and alcohol were consumed.
Barrymore was interviewed by police shortly afterwards but no further action was taken.
He was kept in a cell for 36 hours when he was arrested in 2007 but the case was dropped three months later.
A post-mortem examination later revealed that he had suffered serious anal injuries.
An open verdict was recorded at an inquest in 2002 after a pathologist said there was no 'benign or accidental explanation' for Mr Lubbock's injuries.
At the conclusion of Friday's announcement of his decision, the judge adjourned an application by the force for permission to appeal, which is now likely to be heard in October.
The decision prompted a furious response from Mr Lubbock's father, Terry, who described the ruling on a legal technicality as a 'travesty of justice'.
He said: 'Barrymore has won his case in court but it doesn't change what I think - that he knows more than he's ever let on.

'I've never accused him of being directly responsible for Stuart's death but I've maintained that my son was murdered and Barrymore could have helped the police a lot more to bring his killers to justice.
A mother-of-eight has bought a  pony with her benefits money, claiming it will help her beat depression.
Marie Buchan, from Birmingham paid £200 for the six-month-old Welsh colt called Bobby.
He will be stabled at a cost of £22.50 per week plus hay costs, which Ms Buchan will pay from her £26,000-a-year benefits. Ms Buchan's agent Barry Tomes said the 35-year-old was on medication for depression and the new pony will improve her wellbeing.
He said: 'Purchasing this horse may infuriate some people. But what Marie needs is open space and a change of scene to help her bouts of depression.
'She needs to be out in the fresh air and open spaces will do her good her good. She said she had been saving £50 per week to purchase Bobby and save for stabling costs.
Ms Buchan, whose eight children are aged between three and 15, is no stranger to controversy.
She provoked outrage when she appeared on This Morning saying life was better on benefits and she would spend her wages on a boob job.
She also previously claimed she was being turned down for her dream job as a garage mechanic because of sexism.
The former lapdancer, 35, said she had applied for dozens of positions after gaining a Level 2 diploma in mechanics
In July Ms Buchan said: 'I have been let down so many times, I just don't think I am really being taken seriously enough.'
She added: 'Maybe they feel I am too sexy for a male-dominated workplace, but I just wish they would give me the chance.
