The blast occurred around 7:30 pm, prompting a substantial emergency response and the evacuation of nearby homes.

In a separate incident, an industrial fire broke out on Holgate Road in The Meadows, Nottingham, around 9:00 pm on the same evening. Ten fire engines responded to the blaze, which severely damaged the building. No injuries have been reported, and officials do not believe the two incidents are connected.
