British YouTuber and rapper Yung Filly, born AndrĂ©s Felipe Valencia Barrientos, has been at the center of serious legal proceedings in Australia. In October 2024, he was arrested and charged with multiple offenses, including four counts of sexual penetration without consent, three counts of assault occasioning bodily harm, and one count of impeding a person’s normal breathing or circulation by applying pressure to their neck. These charges stem from an alleged incident involving a woman in her 20s at a Perth hotel room following his performance at a local nightclub on September 28, 2024.

After his arrest in Brisbane, Yung Filly was extradited to Perth, where he appeared in court and was granted bail under strict conditions, including a personal undertaking of AU$100,000 (£52,000) and a surety of the same amount.  In March 2025, he formally pleaded not guilty to all charges during a court appearance. The case has been moved to the District Court, with a trial mention hearing scheduled for June 13, 2025.

While awaiting trial, Yung Filly faced additional legal issues. In December 2024, he admitted to reckless driving after being caught speeding at 158 km/h in a 100 km/h zone. He pleaded guilty to the charge, which could result in penalties including imprisonment, fines, and a driving disqualification.

Regarding his mental health, Yung Filly has previously been open about his struggles. In interviews, he has discussed feelings of being overwhelmed by his celebrity status, experiencing stress, sadness, and the challenges of maintaining mental well-being in the public eye.  However, since the onset of his legal troubles in Australia, there have been no public statements or reports detailing his current mental state.

As the legal proceedings continue, further updates on the case and any statements from Yung Filly regarding his mental health may emerge.
