In a recent court proceeding, 43-year-old Damion Ogeare pleaded guilty to charges of sexually abusing a Shetland pony and trespassing with intent to commit a sexual offence. The incident occurred on January 24 of the previous year at a farm in Trowbridge, Wiltshire.

Ogeare was apprehended after the pony’s owner observed him entering the stable on CCTV footage. The video showed Ogeare entering the stable partially clothed and leaving naked approximately ten minutes later. DNA evidence collected from the scene led to his identification and subsequent arrest.

Following his guilty plea at Salisbury Crown Court, Ogeare was released on bail pending a pre-sentence report. He is scheduled to be sentenced in May.

This case has attracted significant attention due to the nature of the offence and the breach of trust involved in trespassing onto private property to commit such an act.
