A tragic incident occurred on Thursday, January 2, 2025, when a seven-month-old baby boy died following a car crash on the A1 near Grantham, Lincolnshire. The accident took place around 10:50 PM when a yellow Honda Jazz left the southbound carriageway approximately 500 yards from the Spittlegate junction, collided with a tree, and returned to the road.

The infant sustained serious injuries and was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after 5:00 AM on Friday. A woman in the vehicle also suffered serious injuries, while two other passengers were not seriously hurt.
