The trial of Urfan Sharif, accused of his daughter Sara Sharif’s murder, has revealed complex and tragic details of her last moments. Sharif, who is on trial with his wife, Beinash Batool, and brother, Faisal Malik, claims he found 10-year-old Sara unresponsive at their home in Woking,

Surrey, on August 8, 2023. According to Sharif, he desperately attempted CPR and begged for an ambulance, but alleges that Batool dissuaded him, saying, “Leave it, she’s dead,” as he tried to revive her.

Sara’s body was later discovered with extensive injuries, including burns and bite marks, raising suspicion of prolonged abuse. However, Sharif denies causing her death or abusing her, claiming he disciplined her only with slaps and attributing the other injuries to someone not on trial.

He asserts that he was unfairly portrayed as the primary antagonist and maintains that he only took responsibility initially due to Batool’s influence and pressure.

This trial continues to expose complicated family dynamics, with allegations of prior domestic issues involving Sharif and his ex-wife, who had accused him of violence.

The case remains ongoing as the court examines evidence and testimonies surrounding Sara’s tragic passing.
